Short Description:   SPLENDOR – which stands for Spiritual Life, Ethics and Nature, Deepening Our Reverence – is GreenFaith’s interfaith adult education curriculum that introduces participants to the relationship between religion and the earth. The themes are Spirit(becomign aware of our spiritual experiences in the natural world), Stewardship and Justice. We will learn how God calls us to protect creation by developing responsible consumption habits. We will discover the ways that environmental degradation impacts vulnerable communities.
Long Description:   SPLENDOR consists of three sessions, focused around GreenFaith´s core mission areas of Spirit, Stewardship and Justice:
  • Spirit: Write about and discuss a spiritual experience they’ve had in nature.
  • Stewardship: Take an ecological footprint quiz to analyze the environmental impact of their own consumption, and commit to changes in their consumption habits.
  • Justice: Learn about the impact of environmental degradation on at-risk communities

 using these materials, a class can be offered that runs for at least two sessions.
